A monkey feeding a monkey

This morning, Savannah was eating her Cheerios and wandering about the living room when she paused to pick up a stuffed monkey.

After a few minutes of playing, she brought the monkey over to me on a mission, I assumed, to get a refill of Cheerios.

I was entertained when I realized what she was really up to - she wanted to feed her monkey some cereal.

This is a first. She often tries to stick her Binky in my mouth, without success, and she will share snacks with me from time to time.

But, I’ve never seen her try to feed an inanimate object breakfast … or any other meal, for that matter. But there she was, very patiently holding a Cheerio up to a stuffed monkey’s mouth.

What’s next?

A postscript on Bailey the cat: He has found a new home with our friend J, who has offered to take in my gray furry ball o’ love. Thanks, J.
