There’s a kitten on the roof

Apparently, our building has been having some AC problems and our gallant facilities department has been working on the problem. While up there today, they discovered the source of the woe — kittens! A mama cat had gotten up on the roof of The Sun’s building and had three wee ones inside the AC unit.

Some folks have wondered how a cat can get on a roof. Well, I’ve always known cats to be good climbers and where there is a will, there is usually a way.

Our own circulation assistant Julie P is saving the kittens. One has already been adopted, but here are some photos of the other two. If you would like to adopt one, please call our circulation department and ask for her. The number is 539-6900.

Amy, I like the title of your column and I enjoy the way you lace words together.

Bless your heart for saving these helpless kittens. Many would not. I thank and applaud you. As a Yuma native, I sometimes pop in to see what is going on in Yuma these days, (I live in St. Augustine, FL) and was pleasantly surprised to find this uplifting story. I volunteer in animal rescue and these kind of stories MAKE MY DAY. Thank you ….Christine
